Zavvareh Jame Mosque

This mosque is very ancient, like the Ardestan ancient mosque. This mosque dates back to the Saljooghi's Dynasty. It's reported that when the people were deciding to builds a mosque in zavareh, they took the Ardestan mosque as a role model and its dome was taken into account as a starting point. The point was that a new plan was selected, so the mosque changed into a four porches structure. Its style and design was later modeled after by the designers of the Ardestan mosque. Surprisingly, the tablet found in this mosque has been installed on the top floor, and not at the bottom and this is different from the other monuments.

This is tablet is similar to the ones dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries, at the time of Saljooghis Dynasty. Unfortunately, the writing engraved on the table is nearly destroyed. They are bold koofi handwritings located on the eastern porch of the structure. We can see little writings left these days, so we can't find its date. Maybe, we can find the date by comparing this mosque with the Ardestan mosque and also find the name of its founder. In the Ardestan mosque we see names like Ahmad or Taher and the mason called Mahmood Isfahan Ghazi. Another tablet, which has been found, is located on the eastern side of the porch in the porch in the entrance or gate wall. It's located on a plaster piece and the writing are in bold sols handwriting.

The tablet, which is located under the dome, and near the mehrab, is made of plaster or chalk. The writings are in koofi handwriting and patterned which plants and flowers. The pattern is completely destroyed, but it's recognized that the 187th and 188th of Al Emran are writing on it. The date of building is engraved on it, but it's entirely disappeared. On one of the sides of the tablet in mehrab there is piece writing, Tobeh, verses number 18 and 11, but the date of its building is not clear. As we can see from the above mentioned information, the building of this, Zavareh, has been dated back to 530 Hijrat, but the year is not found. Then the Mihrab has been added to the mosque together with the decoration and engravings.
